Nelson served in the US Army from March 31, 1944 through May 24, 1946 and graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. A psychotherapist of extraordinary skill, Dr. Mallary dedicated his life to psychotherapy practices. He is widely recognized as a practitioner of Rational Emotive Therapy.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 11 am at HM Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, 4550 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA, followed by a family burial service at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Ga. Visitation will be held Friday, June 15th from 6-8pm also at HM Patterson & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Nelson Dagg Mallary, Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o The Atlanta Historical Society, 130 West Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta 30305.
