Son of Phillip and Georgia McGill Greene. Husband of Annie Mae Millwood Greene. Two Children: Betty Anne Greene Spear and Phyllis Marie Greene Chapman. Two Grandchildren: Randall N. Spear and Lynette S. Hornsby. 4 Greatgrand children: Meaghan Spear, Eric Spear, Alex Hornsby and Anna Hornsby. A wonderful husband and father. He was a farmer most all of his life in Broward County. He has been sorely missed by each one in his family. He was dependable and faithful to his church, First Baptist of Pompano Beach and was made a Deacon "emeritus" after serving there for many years. He was also an active Mason going through all of the steps and held many offices until his sickness and death. My Dad moved to Broward County in 1931 from Americus, Ga.. He grew vegetables on land that is now the Wynmoor Condominium development in Coconut Creek. He also managed farm land and crops in Palm Beach County. He retired from farming in 1973 but still enjoyed planting things in his yard in Pompano Beach. He was a member of the Barraca SS class at First Baptist and a 19 year member of the P.B. Housing Authority's board of directors, a master of P.B. Masonic Lodge 263. He was honored in 1988 by the Broward County Historical Society as a pioneer.
