Murphy, N.C. died June 19 i the
Murphy Medical Center Nursing
Home, Murphy, N.C. after an
extended illness. Mrs. Hyde was a
native of Cherokee County, and a
member of the Oak Grove Baptist
Church. She was the daughter of
the late Coleman and Lou Parker
Rich.
Surviving are one son, Quentin
Hyde; four daughters, Mrs. Nettie
Chastain, Mrs. Berdie Lou
Garland, Mrs. Johnnie Mull, Mrs
Betty Newman, all Murphy; 11
grandchildren, 10 great-
grandchildren, and on great-
greatgrandchild.
Funeral services were held June
22 at 2 p.m. for the Sunny Point
Baptist Church, Rev. Charlie
Stalcup, Rev. Grady Chastain,
Rev. Lester Cook officiated.
Interment followed int he Shady
Grove Cemetery.
Ivie Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
