INEZ - David Eugene Ratliff, 77, of Inez, died Sunday, June 18, 2006.
He was born May 27, 1929, in Des Moines, N.M., to the late William Joseph Carson and Leitha McDonnald Ratliff. He was a retired main operator for Natural Gas Pipeline Company and a former motel owner. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a deacon at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch.
Survivors: wife, Pattie Ruth Mitchell Ratliff; sons, Mark Raymond Ratliff and Richard Lee Ratliff, both of Inez, and Robert Wayne Ratliff of Amarillo; sisters, Harriet Berggren of Phoenix and Doris Petty of Horse Branch, Ky.; and five grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: daughter, Marilyn Ratliff Tolbert; sister, Ruby Ratliff; and brothers, Carson Ratliff, Kenneth Ratliff, and Clovis Ratliff.
Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Rosewood Funeral Chapels.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Northside Baptist Church, the Rev. Tim Williams officiating.
Another service will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch, the Rev. Calvin Winters officiating.
Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Rosewood Funeral Chapels, Victoria, 361-573-4546.
