DEATH OF "GENE" BROWN
Joseph Eugene Brown died Wednesday morning, Jan 9, 1935, at his home at 809 Vine street, Fairbury, Nebr., being 83 years, 11 months and 24 days.
The deceased was born Jan 16, 1871, at Edgerton, Williams county, Ohio. He was the son of John and Abigail Brown, both of whom preceded him in death.
He moved with his parents in 1882 to Boone county, Iowa, remaining there three years, when the family moved to Washington county, Kansas, were they lived until they moved to Fairbury in 1891. His home has been in the city ever since that time.
He was married to Mrs. Mary Myers Dec 28, 1926, who survives him. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Enoch Cook and five brothers, James, Clyde, George and Cliff, all of Fairbury and Will who lives at Coolidge, Kans.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. R. E. Deadman officiating.
Burial will be in the Fairbury cemetery. Traum service
