One-Car Crash
Kills Utahn, 23
SOUTH SALT LAKE CITY Utah (UPI) - A South Salt Lake City man died early today in a one-car accident on U.S. Highway 89. The victim was identified as Jerry Charles Barnes, 23.
Utah Highway Patrolmen said Barnes was alone in his car when it went off the sixlane highway,-hit a parked car, a bus bench and a traffic light pole. The victim was apparently killed instantly in the 2:40 a.m. mishap.
His body was taken to the State Medical Examiner's office.
