Mrs. Nettie May Brotherton, 50 years old, died at St. John's hospital at 5:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Brotherton became ill at noon at her home, 2207 Joplin street, and was removed to the hospital.

She was born in Kansas and came to Joplin from Marionville in 191?.

Surviving are the husband, Homer Brotherton; three sons, Roy Brotherton, H. L. Brotherton, Jr., and Hubert Boyd; five daughters, Wanda Ruth Brotherton, Shirley Ann Brotherton, Mrs. Betty Lou Niles, Mrs. Emma Jean Wade and Mrs. E. L. Quillin; a brother, Clarence Boyd; two sisters, Mrs. Tiny McMullen and Mrs. Opal Lemar, and five grandchildren, all of Joplin, and a third sister, Mrs. Myrtle Burks of Detroit.

The Thornhill-Dillon mortuary will have charge of funeral arrangements.
