On 24 September 1902 William James Andrews age 26, who was a bachelor of independent means, married Alice Margaret Beatrice Meyer who was 25 years old. They both lived, at the time, at 130 Granton Road, Eveston, England. Alice Meyer's father was George Charles Rudolph Christopher Meyer who was Secretary to the German Consul. He spoke 10 languages and three dialects of Chinese. My grandmother Alice Margaret Beatrice Meyer Andrews, was born in 1877 and died April 19, 1960 of cancer at the age of 82 years. He is buried in Terlincthun British Cemetery on the outskirts of Boulogne, France. This is his gravestone that was located in April 2000.
