Huber Henry Goodrich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milo S. Goodrich, was born November 6, 1879, at their homestead on the Niobrara River 4½ miles west of Riverview in Keya Paha County, Nebraska, part of which was his home at the time of his death, and passed away while in Bassett on business November 4, 1957.

He was united in marriage with Carrie Ann Vetter, also an old time resident of Keya Paha County, January 8, 1902, in Springview, Nebraska. To this union was born one son, Milo of Sparks, Nebraska, and one daughter, Doris Leonard of Bassett, Nebraska.

Their river home was his life but for a few years spent in Springview, Nebraska, Burton, Nebraska, and the states of Washington and Oregon. He always said he would remain here until his death.

Those who preceded him in death were his father, who passed away when Huber was seven years old; his mother; and sisters, Nancy, Alice, Alvie, and Birdie.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Leonard of Bassett; one son, Milo Goodrich and his wife, Florence, of Sparks, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Larry of Washington, D.C; Rochelle of Valentine, Nebraska; Micky at home; one sister, Elsie Carr of Pine Ridge, South Dakota; other relatives and a host of friends.
