Waitman Barb Knopp, 84, of Spencer, died Tuesday, Oct. 16,1990, in Huntington Veterans Administration Medical Center after a short illness. He was a farmer and attended First Baptist Church, Spencer. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. Surviving: wife, Irene Argabrite Knopp; daughter, Jeanette Buckner of Charleston; stepdaughters, Saundra Neil of Summersville, Bonita Zavisho of Belpre, Ohio; sisters, Hettie Knopp of Gay, Evelyn Rhodes of Ripley, Eulalah Weadock of Frozen Camp; brother, Olen of Evans; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Service was Friday at Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Lester Walker officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, near Spencer.
