Marie Serra Gerry, 88, a resident of Glenolden, formerly of Colwyn and Darby, died on Aug. 3 at home.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Gerry previously resided in Darby for many years before moving to Colwyn where she lived for 15 years. She recently resided in Glenolden for the last eight years. Mrs. Gerry was active with the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Darby Fire Co. and in her later years was active with the Colwyn Senior Citizens. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Gerry is the wife of the late Charles "Charlie" Gerry, who died in 2007.
Survivors: Her daughters, Janet Herrmann of Citrus Springs, Fla., and June Frazier-Tucker of Glenolden; son, Mark Gerry of the Broomall section of Marple; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Service: Noon Saturday at the Griffith Funeral Chapel, 520 Chester Pike, Norwood.
Visitation: 11 a.m.-noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial: Fernwood Cemetery, Upper Darby.
