DEATH COMES AS A RELIEF
Over Half Century of Invalidism Ended - Miss Frances Prentice Passes Away.
Death came to Miss Frances L Prentice about 6 o'clock this morning at the home of her brother O.I. Prentice, 721 Second Avenue, in the form of relief from years of suffering. Born in Scott Township of Ogle County March 13, 1869, Frances had been invalid all these years. Brief funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the brother's home and the remains will then be taken to Blue Hill, Nebraska, for burial beside the graves of the parents. Besides the Rockford brother with whom she made her home, the deceased is survived by two other brothers, Ward Prentice, residing on the river road a short distance south of the city and Benjamin Prentice of Blue Hill, Nebraska. Will Prentice, a shoe salesman is a half brother. Five sisters also survive her, Mrs Lawrence May, Mrs James Parnell, and Mrs Daniel Kennedy, all of Rockford, and two sisters at Blue Hill, Nebraska.
