Graveside services for Eddie E. Holcomb, 83 of Mineola, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Harris Creek Cemetery with Pastor Paul Wayne Wilson and Pastor Merle Parker officiating, under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mr. Holcomb went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 27, 2010 in Tyler.

He was born February 11, 1927 in Rule to the late Eddie and Susie Spradlin Holcomb.

He had served with the Merchant Marines, was a retired millwright and was a Southern Baptist Minister. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Mineola.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristy Tomlin.

He is survived by his loving family, wife, Alma Fay Holcomb of Mineola; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Wayne Wilson of Taft, CA., Loretta and Gregg Tomlin of Winona and Helen and James Askew of Antioch, CA.; three brothers, Billy Holcomb of Boonville, CA., Gerald Holcomb of Oakley CA. and James Holcomb of Ukiah, CA.; a sister, Annie Lee Wheeler of Ukiah; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
