Alma Ocie was the daughter of Hiram Alonzo Compton and Nancy Jane Belcher. She married Thomas Henry Critchfield.

Ocie and her sister Lillian were twins.

Oshie and Thomas were the parents of Alice Critchfield, Sarah Gladys Critchfield Ratcliffe Estep, Thomas E. Critchfield, and Jesse Horton Critchfield.

MRS. OCIE CRUTCHFIELD TO BE BURIED AT MUDFORK
Mrs. Ocie Crutchfield, a resident of Bluefield for many years, died last night at her home on Ronceverte Street. She had been in failing health for some time.
She is survived by her husband, T.H. Crutchfield, and several children.
The body will be taken to Mudfork, Tazewell County, for burial on Friday.

FUNERAL SERVICE TODAY FOR MRS. CRUTCHFIELD
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Pentecostal Church on Wayne Street, for Mrs. Ocie Crutchfield, 53, native of Falls Mills and lifelong resident of this section, who died at 9:35 Wednesday night at her home on Ronceverte Street.
The Rev. Bane Underwood will officiate at the services and will be assisted by the Rev. Garland Jewel. Burial will be in the family plot at Falls Mills.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Crutchfield and the following children: Horton and Earl Crutchfield and Mrs. Gladys Ratliff, all of Bluefield. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: William Compton of Falls Mills, Lillie French of Abbs Valley, Neely Compton of ..., Samuel Watt Compton of Clover Bottom, and Mrs. Luvene Billips of ...VA.
Mrs. Crutchfield was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
