Jessie Weathers Goode, 91, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at White Oak Estates, where she was known for her love of coffee and giving hugs. Born December 26, 1918 in Jonesville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Lizzie Jones Weathers and was raised by her sister, Bessie Banks. She was the widow of Sam Goode and was a Christian of the Baptist faith.
"Mother" was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors are two daughters, Judy Goode Bell (widow of Larry Bell) and Jo Lynn Goode Kind and husband Lawrence; six granddaughters, Cheryl Bell Rochester, Caroline Bell Mulligan, Jenia Goode West, Donna Goode Moser, Dana Kind Gillespie, and Samantha Kind Maddox; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Goode. She was predeceased by her son, Bobby Goode.
Burial will be in Springhill Memorial Gardens, Chesnee, SC.
