Hiatt Services This Afternoon
Prominent Winchester Woman is claimed by Death
Mrs. Pearl May Hiatt, 56, died Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at her home on South Main Street.
Mrs. Hiatt was the widow of Garfield Hiatt and Since his death had actively engaged in the Hiatt and Payne Hardware Management. Only recently was she forced to retire because of ill health.
She is survived by two sons, Redd Hiatt and Max Hiatt, both of this city; one sister, Mrs. Walter Payne of Winchester; four brothers, Charles McIntire of Dayton, Ohio; John McIntire of Miami, Florida, Frank and Will McIntire of Los Angeles, California and a grand-daughter, Marilyn Louise Hiatt.
The body was taken to the Clark, Maynard and Potter Funeral home for burial preparation and was removed to the Walter Payne residence on East North Street.
Funeral services will be held at the Payne residence this Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. G.M. Payne. Burial will be made in Fountain Park Cemetery.
