A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Allen Mortuary for Aubrey Marion Jackson, 80, who died Sunday in his home after a short illness. Burial will be in Turlock Memorial Park.
Born in Glenn County, he had lived in Turlock since 1909 and was employed by the Turlock Irrigation District for 44 years before retiring in 1971. He was active in ham radio activities and held membership in the Turlock Amateur Radio Club. He also was a member of the First Christian Church, Turlock Odd Fellows Lodge and the Lost Chord Club of San Francisco.
He leaves his wife, Mildred of Turlock; a daughter, Veannette Jackson of Turlock; two brothers, Lamar and Donald Jackson of Turlock; and three sisters, Marguerite Kraetsch of Stockton, Ellouise Larson of Turlock and Meron Maxon of Sacramento.
