CLAYTON ----Jessie M. Turcotte, 86, formerly of Riverview Apartments, died Saturday at the Samaritan-Keep Nursing Home, Watertown, where she had been a patient since 1985.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of the 1000 Islands, with Rev. G. Kent Walmsley, officiating. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with T.R. Jetty I Funeral Home Inc. Donations may be made to the memorial fund at the First Baptist Church of the 1000 Islands.
Surviving are two sons, Donald I., a trustee of the Clayton Village Board, and Joseph M., both of Clayton; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Elaine) Hill, East Aurora, and Mrs. Lionel (Sally) Radley, Cape Vincent; 16 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A brother, James McRae of Clayton, and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Fitch, Clayton, and Miss Theresa McRae, Grindstone Island, died previously.
Born on May 28, 1901, on Grindstone Island, daughter of Thomas and Delia Hutchinson McRae, she attended Grindstone Island schools and Albany Teaching College.
She married Irwin Turcotte on Dec. 28, 1920, on Grindstone Island. Mr. Turcotte, a carpenter and caretaker on Grindstone Island, died Dec. 10, 1978. Mrs. Turcotte worked as a cook on Grindstone Island for many years.
