Funeral Services Held Sunday for Mrs Warren 86.
Mrs Pearlie Rigdon Warren of N Hwy Ave. died late Thursday night in the Pierce Co Hospital following an illness of several weeks. A native of Bacon Co GA, she had lived most of her adult life in Pierce Co GA. A daughter of the late Clayton & Rebecca Aldridge Rigdon, she was the widow of John Jackson Warren. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs Harley Boyett, Patterson, Mrs O R Pope, Mrs Stanley Harr, and Mrs A L Murphy, all of Jacksonville, F L. Mrs. Ivey Harris, St George, GA., Mrs Calvin Griffis, College Park , GA., and Mrs B M Thomas, Hoboken, GA., ; two sons, Alvin Letho Warren, Brunswick, and J B warren Blackshear; a sister, Mrs Alma Crosby, Waycross; 30 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, and three great, great grandchildren. Services for Mrs Warren were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Emmanuel Baptist Church with pastor Rev J D Young and Rev Clyde Thomas officiating. Interment was in Blacks hear Cemetery. Grandsons served as active pallbearers and members of t he Men's Bible Class of Emmanuel Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers. Clough-Pearson Funeral Home was in charge.
