H T LILE DIES OF PNEUMONIA -
Henry Thomas Lile, widely known educator, prominent churchman and one of the most widely beloved men in North Alabama, died at 7 o'clock last night at Benevolent Society Hospital of pneumonia. Prof. Lile was brought here from his home at Hartselle a few days ago. He was 73.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at Central Baptist Church by the Rev. Oliver C. Cox, rector of St. John's Episcopal church, assisted by the Rev. John C.Cowell, Jr, pastor of Central Baptist. Burial at City Cemetery will be by Brown. The body will be at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E. H. Barnett in Adams Apartments on Grant Street.

Surviving are the widow; three sons, the Rev. B.B. Comer Lile, Richmond Va, Richard O. Lile, New Orleans and John A Lile, Decatur; a daughter Mrs. E.H. Barnett, Decatur; two sisters, Mrs F.F.Tidwell, Decatur, Mrs. Reinold Rogers, Covington, Va; a brother, F.D. Lile, Trinity.

Pallbearers will be: Fred Speake, S.E. Gibson, J.E. Peck, George Stephenson, C.E. Malone, S.M. Thompson, Rayburn Neville and H.E. Ladner.

Born at Trinity Professor Lile attended school at the University of Virginia. For a helf century he had been prominently identified with the schools of Morgan County and was one of this section's most able educators. A deep student of his fellow man, his kindly character and ability to understand made of him a truly great teacher. He was considered one of the finest mathematicians in the state.

He was a former president of the Eighth District Agricultural school of Athens and was a member of the state book commission during the term of the late Governor B.B. Comer. During the past few years Prof. Lile had been a member of the faculty of Morgan County high school at Hartselle. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was a Mason. Professor Lile had extensive agricultural holding in Morgan county.
