Former Resident of Lincoln Dies Near Coushatta
Dr. John R. Moore, 75, Succumbs Sunday. Rites Near Coushatta Today
Dr. John R. Moore, 75, former resident of Vienna where he practiced medicine for several years, died Sunday evening at his home near Coushatta after an illness of several days. Dr. Moore was a brother of the late R. T. Moore and an uncle of W. S. Moors.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at four o'clock at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, near Coushatta, with interment in the adjoining cemetery. He is survived by his wife and eight children: Emmett D. Moore, an attorney, of Winnsboro, Mrs. Eva Dell Lowe, and Mrs. Keefer Bailey of Shreveport, Clayton Moore and Mrs. Inez Lewis of Bastrop, Mrs. Myrtle Tomlinson, Mrs. Alene Hanks (sic), and Roy Moore, of Coushatta. Several grandchildren also survive.
