William Dewey Allison, 72, of Newton, died last night at 10:30 p.m. at the St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham.

Mr. Allison was born July 6, 1898, in Jasper County, the son of James and Nora Allison. He was a retired civil service employee and garage mechanic.

Mr. Allison is survived by his wife, Leota Barr, two sons, Paul of Kokomo, Ind., James of San Bernardino, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Marabel Niedbolshi of South Bend, Ind., and Mrs. Wilma Jean Newsome of Robinson, and nine grand children and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be in the Central Christian Church in Newtonwith Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton. Cancer fund donations will be accepted.
