Owen was born in Koosharem Utah, to Owen Roosevelt and Irene Marie Brown Bagley and spent his growing up years there. He loved to return to the grass valley as often as possible. He married Dorthy Valene Bench and raised eight beautiful children with her, Jacque (deceased), Mont (deceased), Kenny, Lark (deceased), Robin (Jerry) Huber, Bobbie (Rick) Ikegami, Wrendi Starks and Sam. They later divorced.
He married Jeanette Rehnae Beaumont and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple.
Owen served his country in the Military during World War II. Owen drove truck for Garrett trucking where he received the three million mile accident free award. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union. He loved the road but he also loved the time he spent on the mountain ranching and herding sheep.
He was an avid hunter and loved fishing but above all he loved his family and friends who will miss him greatly. Owen had seven brothers and sisters, Betty (deceased) Dortha, Wyoma, Lorenzo (deceased), Mildred, Elwin, and Rolaine. Also stepchildren, Danny (Yasuko) Stewart, Jeanette Stewart, Lynette Tapia, Katherine (Larry) Bingham, Lori (Gerardo) Reyes, Kim (Patricia) Stewart, Kevin (Janet) Stewart, Shane (deceased) (Barbie) Stewart and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manti Stake Center, (600 E. Union) Friends may call at the Stake Center on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
