Richard was the loving husband of Cecelia Eleanor (Weir) Zoya (1919-1989). Beloved father of Richard Joseph Zoya (1952-1998) and Christine L. Zoya-Haynes. Loving grandfather of Nichole Lynn Zoya-Gallagher. Dear son of Stella (nee Hager) Zoya and Joseph Louis Zoya. Beloved brother of Alice Lucille Zoya and Walter Joseph Zoya.

Richard worked for General Motors for 35 years and retired in 1974. He was a Supervisor, worked in sales and service and took care of 7 plants. Dick also spent 21 years as a Reserve Police Officer of the City of Taylor, MI, retiring with the rank of Commander. He was a professional photographer and owned his own store: D & R Photographic Services in Taylor, MI.
