Pallbearers were Algot Carlson, Vincent Carlson, Lawrence Carlson, Ellis Johnson, Donald Johnson, Orville Johnson all nephews of the deceased.
Mr. Carlson, son of David Carlson and his wife Helen, was born on a farm north of Lindstrom, April 29, 1886. On May 16, 1886 he was baptized by Pastor J J Frodeen, at Chisago Lakes Lutheran Church, Center City, where Mr. Carlson has been a lifelong member. He was confirmed May 26, 1901, by Pastor F M Eckman. On November 25, 1917, he took Mabel Henrietta Dawn to be his bride.
Except for a short period of logging work in the west, Mr. Carlson farmed in this community all his life.
Last Wed, November 3, 1965 Alfred Carlson died at the Chisago Lakes Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel and three children, Chester A Carlson and Carl V Carlson of rural Lindstrom and Lorna (Mrs. Leroy) Carlson of Mpls, five grandchildren, Gregory, Darrell and Rebecca Carlson of Mpls and Dawn Marie and Glenn Carlson of Lindstrom.
Mr. Carlson is also survived by three sisters and four brothers; Mrs. Julia Johnson of Shafer, Mrs. Harry Johnson (Myrtle) and Mrs. Arnold B Johnson (Edith) of Lindstrom, Carl J Carlson of North Branch, William A Carlson of Center City, Edwin G Carlson of Lindstrom and Leonard O Carlson of Lawton, Oklahoma. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Alfred Carlson was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister, Harry, Algot, Albin and Alphine.
Interment was at Hillside Cemetery of the Chisago Lakes Church.
