A life long prospector, by his early twenties Glen had found his way up the Stikine to the Glenora and Telegraph Creek area where, among other work he ran a dog team on the winter mail run from Telegraph to Atlin. In the forties he raised his family of four children; Diana, John, Glenda and Ralph at McDame Post and Quartz Creek where he lived out his life.
