Mr. Arnold was a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran and worked at Accurate Foreign Car Parts. He was a member of the Spotsylvania Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post 4391 and was a former governor of the Moose Lodge No. 1655. Mr. Arnold was a member of Fletchers Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Craig; son, John E. Arnold Jr. of Pennsylvania; daughter, Diane Zigarski of Pennsylvania; two stepsons, Roger Greer of Spotsylvania and Jamie Greer of Stafford; brother, George Arnold of Ladysmith; sister, Patricia Arnold of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Jane.
