She was born June 12, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Claude and Clara (Danielson) Duncan. They moved to the Upper Peninsula when she was a child and she attended schools in Germfask and Manistique, graduating from the Manistique High School in the Class of 1947. She attended a school of cosmetology in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
On October 27, 1956 she married Stephen G. Fisher in Manistique and they made their home in Gould City. Steve preceded her in death on October 30, 2004.
Claudine owned and operated Claudine's Beauty Shop in Gould City and was also employed with Weight Watchers in Newberry. She was a member of the Gould City Presbyterian Church, where she served as secretary of the Ladies Aid. She was a life member of the Boucha-Draves-Raski V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #8372 of Engadine. She enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards and visiting the casino.
She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Patrick) Sullivan of Big Rapids, MI; grandchildren: Megan, Stephen and Jamie; sister, Sue (Frank) Kuehnl of Gould City and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Messier-Broullire Funeral Home in Manistique, with V.F.W. Auxiliary services at 10:30 A.M. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Al Valentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Newton Township Cemetery at Gould City.
