She grew up in the country and on the farm with her many sisters and brothers. Although she was not formally educated, she was one of the wisest persons I've ever known.
She married Glenn Pulaski Hannah on January 21st, 1934 in Polk County, Tennessee. They had ten children together. Nona was a wonderful, loving and caring Mother! Her husband Glenn passed away in 1962 at the age of 49. Nona truly loved her husband and never remarried.
Aunt Nona was a wonderful, caring and loving woman. Her door was always open to her children, relatives and friends. Nona consistently put others before herself - she truly lived her Christianity. Nona was a shining example of how everyone should treat one another - she really loved in word and deed! I remember that every time I visited Aunt Nona in Cleveland Tennessee, she would always have a huge spread of delicious food on her table. I don't know how she always did that! She made the best beans and cornbread I've ever tasted. She would always bake fresh hot biscuits and country gravy in the morning. You never left Aunt Nona's house hungry or lacking love and kindness! She was truly wonderful and unforgettable!
Aunt Nona trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and is now reaping her rewards in Heaven.
Thank you so very much for your love and kindness. You are greatly loved and missed Aunt Nona. Your memory will live in our hearts forever.
