Mrs. Johanna Anderson, was born in Norway, May 18th, 1825, and departed this
life March 5th, 1887. The family emigrated to America in 1849. They own a
beautiful farm home four miles south west of Herman Neb. Mrs. Anderson, was
brought up in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and continued an exemplary member
of the same until she died. A husband and five sons are left to mourn the loss
of a devoted wife, and an effectionate mother. Her christian evidence was clear;
she often prayed that God would take her; her disease was cancer. Before her
soul flew away to be at rest, said: “I am ready to go to Jesus.” The general
appreciation of Mrs. Anderson, as a good neighbor and christian lady, was shown
by the concourse of people who attended the funeral; the procession consisted of
about 250 persons. The remains of the deceased were intered in the cemetery near
the Evangelical Lutheran Church, peace to the sleeping dust! Rev. W. A. Wison,
Pastor, M. E. Church Herman Neb.
