Elmer Good,73 of W. William street died today in Decatur and Macon county hospital. He was injured Sunday evening in a two car collision at King and Edward street. His wife,also injured was reported in serious condition today in St. Marys hospital. He was a life long resident of Macon county and prominent in local Republican politics. He was a member of the Central Christian church.
He was born in Bearsdale Jan. 12,1881, a son of James B. and Ada Lehman Good. He married Clarebell Richardson in Decatur Sept. 6, 1906. She died March3. 1952. He then married Maude Graham in Decatur June 19,1954. In addition to his wife he leaves sons,James C. ,San Francisco,Calif.,Robert R, Norwalk, Calif, daughters, Mrs. Virginia E. Ackerman,Thousand Oaks,Calif,Mrs.Henrietta Cederstrand ,Mrs. Margaret Suhnen,Decatur,15 grandchildren,and 2 great grandchildren,one brother preceded him in death.
His body is at Brintlingers funeral but no arrangements have been made.
