Warren Cemetery has a lot of really old and weathered stones and some recent burials. It is well taken care of and easy to access. Mrs. Arzella Smith Dies at Home
Mrs. Arzella Smith, aged 80 years, and widow of the late James M. Smmith of Warren, passed away at 7 o'clock Sunday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dan H. Wagner, of north of Mt. Zion. Mrs. Smith was born in Lexington Ky., November 25 1853, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Perkins. Mr Smith preceded her in death June 30, 1925. Mrs. Smith was removed to the home of her daughter two weeks ago when she was taken ill. She had been a resident of Warren for 35 years, moving there from Macon county.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marvin Green of Hannibal, Mrs. Elizabeth Polson of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. W.K. English of New London, and Mrs. D. H. Wagner of Mt. Zion, one brother, Squire Perkins of Macon, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Wilson Funeral Home at Monroe City for burial. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Edgar Knight in charge. Interment was in Warren cemetery
