On March 20, 1934, Dorothea Anna was married to William Monroe "Bud" Purvis in Daggett, Utah. The couple had a son together that was born on April 12, 1935 and passed on April 14, 1935. They buried their infant son at Sanit Josephs Cemetery in Rock Springs, Wyoming. on April 15, 1935. Dorothea and William was divorced at a later date.
Dorothea was married to Ivan H. Christensen (1910-1969) September 11, 1945 in Nevada. Dorothea Anna and Ivan had a son together during their marriage together.
At the age of 67, Dorothea Anna Christensen passed away on August 19, 1979 in Murray, Salt Lake County, Utah. Her body was laid to rest at Murray City Cemetery in Murray, Salt Lake County, Utah on August 22, 1979.
