Services were April 21 in Ripley Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Elder C.H. Hawkins and elder Herman Weatherly officiated. Survivors include her husband, J. Marion Young, Merigold; seven daughters, Myrtle Vowell, Tulsa, OK, Lorine McCain, Mansfield, AR, Sue Ferguson, Grenada, MS, Theresa Strain, Atlanta, Ga, Eleanor Yates, Boyles, MS, Sharon Harvey, Brenda Guy, Dallas, TX; seven sons, John Young, Dallas, Ottis Young, Shelbyville, Tn, Wilfred Young, Merigold, Fred Young, Friars Point, MS; James C. Young, Macon, GA, Larry Young, Merigold and Don Young, Bardstown, KY; three sisters, Minnie Dickerson, Annie Luna, both of Memphis, and Evelyn Dickerson, Walnut; 33 grandchildren and 12 ggrandchildren.
