Margaret F. Wagner, 81, of Galesville, died Sunday, November 24, 1996 in Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
She was born Jan. 30, 1915 in Adel, Iowa to Charles and Cora May (Miner) Shackelford.
On November 14, 1948 she married Emil Erick Wagner in Trenton, Missouri. He died September 27, 1993. She and her husband farmed in rural Galesville while Margaret simultaneously worked as a Linotype operator at the Galesville Republican until her retirement in 1985.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Galesville and its W-EL-CA, the Caledonia Homemakers and the Galesville American Legion Auziliary.
Survivors include her daughter Evelyn Sikma of Roselle, Illinios; 2 grandsons, James Eric Sikma anf Thomas Glen Sikma; a sister Mattie Gay Dunn of Lucerne, Missouri and a brother Glen Shackelford of Limon, Colorado.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday, November 27, 19966 in Zion Lutheran Church, Galesville. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Centerville.
