Dail Wilkie Alexander Jr., 55, of Linn, formerly of Dixon died Friday, July 23, 2010, at Fort Leonard Wood Hospital. Born March 3, 1955, at Morocco, Africa, Alexander was the son of Dail Wilkie Alexander Sr. and Thelma Ellen Zilpha Tyrrell. On Feb. 21, 2001, he married Shelley Marie Sterman in Linn, Mo. He was a retired supervisor for MoDOT District 5 bridge crew. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Linn. He is survived by his wife, Shelley Alexander, of the home near Linn; his mother, Thelma Alexander of Dixon, a son and a daughter-in-law, Dail W. (Lorie) Alexander III of New Bloomfield, two daughters and one son-in-law, Brandy and Shawn Martin of Holt Summit and Serena Alexander of the home, one brother, Lester Alexander of Holt Summit, a sister, Alexis Mitchell of Richland, and three grandchildren. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home in Dixon. Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home in Dixon. Interment will be at Seaton Cemetery.
