Michael Monkiewicz, Sr., of 10 Merrill Street died Saturday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock after a few days illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Monkiewicz, six daughters, Mrs. Joseph Daszewski, Mrs. George Hadac of Binghamton, Mrs. Frank Cornell of Broad Acres, Mrs. Walter Jaynes of Binghamton, Mrs. Lawrence Hughes of Endwell and Miss Margaret Monkiewicz of Binghamton; five sons, John Monkiewicz of Johnson City, Michael, Jr., Philip, Louis and Stephen Monkiewicz of Binghamton, one sister, Mrs. Helen Ostrowski of Endicott and 12 grandchildren. Predeceased by two infant sons: Leon and Edmund.
