He spent "22 months in the South Pacific with the 866th Aviation Battalion. His decorations included three battle stars on a South Pacific ribbon for service in New Guinea and two stars on a Philippine Liberation ribbon awarded for service in the South Philippine campaign. He was discharged a corporal at Fort Knox, KY, in January , 1946."
Died from burns and shock received during an electrical accident while erecting a television antenna tower.
