When Marcus died in the 1850s in El Dorado County, California, she got married to William Rowan in 1856. She had two children with him, William Rowan Jr (1858-1943) and Sam Powell Rowan (1863-1940). William Sr had children from a previous marriage. She lived to be 83 years old.
