In Nevada, they lived in Goldfield and Warm Springs which are both ghost towns now, and in Ely.

He married Afton Laurel Peterson in Santaquin, Utah on 5 Dec 1924. As of April 1930, he was living in Salt Lake City with his wife and three children, working as a hardware salesman. He died that same year, as a result of a gun shot wound.
