Mrs. Hattie Handy, 86, of 2583 Millbrook Dr., widow of W. T. Handy, died Monday in the Clark County Hospital. Born in Scott County, September12, 1893, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Ryan Thompson and a member of the Woodland Christian Church. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd P. Young, Lexington and Mrs. George Morton, Cincinnati; one brother, Ryan Thompson, Franklin Co.; a sister Mrs. Robert Prewitt, Lexington; six grandchildren, William H. Strouse and James L. Strouse, both of Lexington and Gene Ray Handy, Chicago; Mrs. Robert Bricka, Cincinnati and Mrs. Ronald Perkins, Jessamine Co.; Mrs. H.W. Denham, Winchester and 13 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:30 Thursday in the Hillcrest Cemetery by the Rev. Ray D. Cameron. Friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 today at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland.
