Elmer A. Brandau was born on May 18, 1900, the son of John and Gertrude Mausehand Brandau. He grew to manhood near Rudd, and attended country schools in that area. He then farmed near Rudd for many years.
On December 17, 1965 he and Mary Tireman were united in marriage. In January of 1966 the couple retired from farming and moved to Osage.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; a brother, Clinton of Rudd and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Emma Kupker; and a brother, Lloyd.
