LAMPASAS — Services for Betty Louise Owens, 80, of Lampasas will be 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Lampasas with Dr. Rick Willis and Jack Shelton officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Mrs. Owens died Monday, July 26, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 2, 1929, in San Benito to John W. Tankersley and Alta Mae Carpenter Tankersley. She graduated from Freer High School. She married LeRoy Owens on March 20, 1952, in Freer. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was also involved in work with the Lampasas Mission.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Travis Owens of Lampasas; two daughters, Sherry Porter of Richwood and Trisa Smith of Lampasas; a brother, Marcus Tankersley of Yorktown; a sister, Dorothy Morgan of Cotulla; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas is in charge of arrangements.
