THORNTON - Clarence Eugene Thornton of Hayhurst Road, Drain, Oregon, passed away April 15, 1973. He was born November 23, 1897, at Oak Creek, Oregon. Married Olive Morningstar October 2, 1916, at Drain, she survives him. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Father of Mrs. Steve (Claredean) Miller of Drain, John E., of Yoncalla, Ray of Farmington, New Mexico, Roy of Ketchikan, Alaska; eighteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother of Mrs. Ethel Koufasimes of Astoria and Mrs. Gracia Wells of Pasadena. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. in the Drain Baptist Church, Pastor Curtis Bellomy officiating with interment in the Drain Cemetery. ENGLAND FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
