Lou appears in the census of June 1880 as one year old, with no indication of months. So she was born between June 1878 and June 1879, presumably at her family home in Fulton County, just a mile from the county line with Baxter. Her family, the location of their home, and the life they lived is described in great detail in the biographies of her parents.
In late November, 1888, her parents purchased 208 acres from their daughter and son-in-law on the east bank of the Forth Fork, in Bayou Township of Baxter County, two miles west of Gamaliel. The location is shown with an earth view in her father’s bio. Sometime afterwards the daughter and her husband moved to Indian Territory, so the Runyan family probably moved onto the new farm early in 1889, after enlarging the quarters, but before planting season. Lou was buried in the original Bean cemetery, which was just two miles upriver from their new farm, so she must have died after the move. Her parents left Baxter County in late January, 1891, so she must have died before that, hence in 1889 or 1890. This averages to 11 years, so for the dates on this memorial, we can say 1879 to 1890. In 1941, when the Norfork Dam was being constructed, the Bean Cemetery was moved to Gamaliel before Lake Norfork covered the graves.
