Roy Wesley Awbrey was born Nov. 8, 1889, and departed this life Jan. 25, 1928, at the age of 48 years, 2 months and 17 days. He was united in marriage to Maude Hutchins, July 17, 1912. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Stanley Watson of Springfield and Russell at home. He is also survived by two grandsons, five sisters and four brothers and numerous other relatives and friends. He united with the Freewill Baptist church at an early age and lived a faithful Christian life.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at New Salem Baptist church, Rev. C.L. Patton officiating, followed by burial in Belfast cemetery.
