Freddie Gene Evans, Age 33, Ava MO, formerly of Bakersfield MO community - Funeral services held at Clear Springs Church with Rev. Lawrence Applegate officiating. Mr. Evans died at Research Hospital in Kansas City MO as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident May 1st near Nevada MO. He was born at Elijah MO, Mar. 14, 1942, the son of Lloyd and Vernie Warren Evans of Bakersfield MO. He had spent his early years in the Bakersfield and Elijah areas, receiving his education in the schools there. Since 1971 he had been employed as a meat cutter with the Wallace-Owens Grocery Store at Ava. On May 31, 1964, he was married at Pomona MO to Sharon L. Eldridge. Mr. Evans was a member of the Black Oak General Baptist Church at Ava. Interment was in Clear Springs Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
