Junior Thedford passed away July 26, 2010 at 8:00 PM after a lengthy illness. He was born in Pittsburg, TX on June 15, 1926. We were blessed by his wit and wisdom for 84 years. Junior served our country in WWII as a member of the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He started his career as a grain purchasing agent with Ray Smyth Grain Company of Aledo, TX. He retired after 37 years from Pilgrim Pride Industries of Pittsburg, TX. He was also a successful cattleman, which was one of his greatest enjoyments. Junior is preceded in death by his son, Rickey Thedford, parents, Rube and Gladys Thedford, sister, Mildred Austin, and brothers, Royce and Leon Thedford. Survivors include his wife, Jena Mae Haddock Thedford, daughters, Sharon Stovall and husband Bill, Janas Byrnes and husband David, Tracey Geron and husband Robby, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sister, Jeanette Harrel, brother, Charles Thedford and many family and friends. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday July 30, 2010 at Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
