MACON - Ruben Wesley "Papa Smurf" Arnold, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to VistaCare
Hospice, 319, Margie Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088. Mr. Arnold was born in 1943 to the late James Wesley and Lillie Mae Arnold. He served in the United States Army in Korea as a sharpshooter. He was a retired electrician from Robins Air Force Base and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Arnold. -Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Arnold (Rick) Hobbs of Lizella; two grandchildren, Jordan Arnold and Morgan Hobbs; a brother, Benny (Elizabeth) Arnold of Danville; a sister-in-law, Betty Arnold and several nieces and nephews.
