Mattie M. Rush, 97, died Saturday, February 11, 1995, at the home of her daughter in Castle Rock, Colo. Born in Meadows of Dan, Va., she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Rush. James and Mattie were long time residents of southern Virginia and West Virignia. She is survived by two sons, James C. Rush, Chaflont, Pa., Richard Rush, Salem; two daughters, Dorothy Cunningham, Detroit, Mich., Glenna Rush Sevy, Castle Rock, Colo.; one brother, Kethel McPeak, Meadows of Dan, Va.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 1995, at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m., Wednesday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
